Strategic Planning
From Vision to Action
Are you thinking about how to navigate an upcoming organizational shift?
Turn your strategic plan into a powerful, inspiring, clear, and measurable action plan for doing your organization’s best work. Based on the neuroscience of high-performing teams and the learned experiences of many successful (and unsuccessful!) organizational change initiatives, we’ve developed a methodology that puts your organization's vision, values, and aspirations into action.
Our take on the strategic planning process makes sure your change, growth, or transformation initiatives include the five drivers of optimal performance and, therefore, an increased chance of success:
A clear articulation of the organization’s WHY (vision), HOW (statement of values), and WHAT (your mission or statement of the kinds of things you do).
A culture of truly human leadership, where people at every level are inspired to do their best work
Clarity and shared meaning around the specific, observable, and measurable actions and behaviors that will bring the plan to life
Deployment of the right resources to carry out the plan
Feedback and accountability are an integral, well-used part of the culture
The result is a powerful, inspiring, clear, and measurable Manifesto for doing your best work.
Schedule a complimentary, 30-minute conversation to kick-start your goals.
The process:
The process will be designed specifically to your needs and desired outcome. After agreeing on the end goal, the process has four phases:
-
A deep-dive into where the organization is today, your history, and how the people you engage with - internally and externally - describe what drives the organization. This phase involves some old-fashioned research, a "focus group" style session with key stakeholders, and several one-on-one conversations.
-
Based on what we learn, create shared language and meaning for the organization’s:
Ideal State (where the Manifesto is taking you)
Current State (the resources, strengths, and challenges that exist today)
Future State (the stages, resources and steps to get from Current to Ideal)
-
Create a step-by-step, action-by-action, benchmark-timed plan to put the Forward state in motion.
-
Hardwire a system of stages, actions, milestones, and feedback that help you attain your goals.
Who it’s for:
Senior leaders, business owners, and entrepreneurs who want to infuse inspirational leadership into their organization’s culture
Culture and Change agents who are looking for increased positive influence in their personal, community, or professional lives
Anyone who feels stuck in their current role and is looking to shift their perspectives on what their best (or at least next) work and best life might look like
Your Plan Will Include:
Refreshed (or New) Vision Statements. Meaningful and inspirational Why (Purpose), How (Values), and What (Mission) statements to incorporate into all internal and external messaging.
A 360° Assessment of the organization’s Ideal, Current, and Future states.
Meaning Making. Shared definitions and descriptions of what actions look like when they are aligned (and not aligned!) with the Manifesto
Project Plan. A recommended project plan to bring the Manifesto to life, including Goals, stages, measures of success, and completion date targets.
Accountability Plan. A clear articulation of “what success looks like,” plus ideas for monitoring progress, adapting as needed, and celebrating milestones.
Tools to share the plan with internal and external stakeholders.
